Chocolate chunk and chips cookies

Simply is the best, something that you can enjoy it again and again is what I like most. 
Cookie is one of the simplest and easy thing that you can make. I don't know how many chocolate chips cookie that I should have but I think having a lot of it is a good idea. You can try any recipe until you found the one that you like. Actually, I love every recipes that I share them with you in my blog, they have their own charm. This recipe is a bit different as the syrup makes cookie more chewy than other recipe, you can bake it until firm and the center will be fluffy but I like it to drop a bit in the center (and it will be more chewy, and yummy). 
The baking time for each oven is varied so adjust it to suit yours.
Enjoy it with a glass of milk is the best for me, but for grown up version, a cup of hot coffee is another good choice too.



Chocolate chunk and chips cookies
Make 12-13 large cookies



240g ................................... All purpose flour
1/2tsp ................................. Baking soda
3g ....................................... Salt
135g ................................... Dark brown sugar
12g ..................................... Golden syrup or honey
1/2tsp ................................. Vanilla extract
104g ................................... Granulated sugar
107g ................................... Chocolate chunks (I use 70% chocolate)
107g ................................... Chocolate chips
165g ................................... Unsalted butter
1 ......................................... Egg




Preheat the oven to 180C
Line the baking sheets with baking paper.
Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together, set aside.


Beat the butter until soften, add both of the sugar and beat to combine.


Add the syrup, and beat to combine.


Add the egg and beat to combine.


Add the vanilla extract and beat to combine.


Pour the sifted flour mixture into the bowl with chocolate chips and chunk.


Fold to combine.


Scoop onto the prepared baking sheets, I use scoop #16 (about 75g/ piece).
Press the top of the dough lightly.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, let the cookie cool completely on the baking sheets.
