Thai Grilled Pork with sticky rice (Khao Niaow Moo Ping: ข้าวเหนียวหมูปิ้ง)

In Thailand, you can find this food everywhere, Thai Grilled Pork with sticky rice (Khao Niaow Moo Ping: ข้าวเหนียวหมูปิ้ง) is one of the well known fast street food.

You can have it at anytime of the day, breakfast, lunch or dinner, and it's delicious at every meal, hehe. I love this food too, it's a kind of comfort food, juicy and a bit salty pork with load of additive sticky rice, it's hard to stop (until you're full up).
Lately, I found that Moo Ping, no matter where I bought, it's the same "TASTE". It's still delicious in overall meaning, but it's lack identity, may be it comes from the fact that many people stop making Moo Ping by themselves, they buy large bag of ready to grill Moo Ping and all they have to do is grill them -*-.
But I miss the good old days, when you can taste the different taste, too salty, too sweet, or etc, it's fun to eat. Now, when I want to eat different taste I have to make it by myself, haha. Luckily, making them is not hard, just mix all the ingredients, and let it marinade, plus you can eat them with delicious sticky rice. I have a problem buying cooked sticky rice, as they seem to be too dry. Cook Thai sticky rice at home is not hard at all, esp. when you have microwave ^^.
The key is to soak the rice in the water before cooking it, as it will make the finishing rice soft and delicious. I use 1 cup of rice with 3/4 cup of water, and the cooking time is 10 minutes in my 600W microwave, you can try the same time and water ratio before adjusting it to suit your taste and microwave.
